My name is Tera De Venk.  I am an abstract artist living and working in Seattle, Washington.  I have studied art in Europe and the United States, and am currently a member of the ArtsWest Artist Association in Seattle.

My art style has developed naturally over the last several years.  I work with whatever medium gives me inspiration and makes me happy, mostly oils and acrylics.  My creative spirit opened up in Oahu in the Miraculous Waters of Waimea Falls.  The ancients believed these waters have great powers.  This spirit shows me where to look for inspiration, and I try to put the full colours of Hawaii into my paintings.

I cannot put into words the abstractions I paint.  Rather, I feel them in a higher sense - through imagination.  I want my paintings to inspire everyone’s imagination in a similar way.

I sell my art to private collectors from the studio gallery in my Seattle home.  Private tours available by appointment.  My art is also being exhibited by Agora Gallery (415 W. Brodway, Soho, NY) May 2004 through May 2005.
